会议简介
For developers tasked with writing the software at the core of a full-featured IoT product, the simplest path forward may seem to be the classic super loop, or bare-metal approach. There are no unfamiliar kernel or scheduling APIs to learn, and no need to worry about the behavior of someone else’s low-level software. While this may be an accurate assessment for basic embedded systems with limited functionality, it overlooks many of the benefits that an RTOS (real-time operating system) can provide in the sorts of challenging projects faced by developers today. In this session, we’ll walk through the fundamental capabilities of an RTOS and explain their role in mitigating the complexities inherent in modern IoT development. We’ll then present some real-life options for adding these capabilities to your system.
